Four years ago, a simple, life-changing suggestion from Nash Henshaw's mum, Lisa, set his journey into motion. That nudge led him to work alongside Jade McIntosh, one of Newcastle’s most respected event creators. It was here that Nash found his passion for events and marketing, transforming a small pop-up flower shop into what would eventually become the vibrant Nash & Dash Markets.

But Nash’s journey didn’t end there. As his love for the industry grew, so did his vision. He reimagined markets not just as a place for stalls, but as thriving spaces for inclusivity, creativity, and meaningful human connection. Launching at the beloved Mayfield Market, Nash & Dash quickly became a community favorite, blending unique shopping experiences with live local music every third Saturday of the month.

From Mayfield, Nash’s ambition took root in even bigger spaces. He forged strategic partnerships with major venues like Charlestown Square—the largest shopping destination in the Hunter—and the University of Newcastle, further solidifying Nash & Dash Markets as a hub for creativity and community spirit.

In 2023, Nash broke new ground, becoming Australia’s youngest Junior Leasing and Media Executive with one of the country’s leading property companies. His innovative thinking and boundless energy continue to drive Nash & Dash forward. Due to this move the markets took a short break, but not for long.

Now, in 2024, Nash & Dash Markets returns bigger and bolder than ever. With bold, innovative plans, we’re reintroducing our markets to the Newcastle creative community. It’s all part of our ongoing mission to create a dynamic, inclusive space where makers, creators, and visitors can connect and inspire each other.

Through creative flair, meticulous planning, and strong community ties, Nash & Dash Markets has quickly become the go-to destination for immersive market experiences in the Hunter region.
